Avocado Chocolate Mousse with a CBD twist
Avocado + mousse = either a total shock to you or a shoulder shrug - right? Well either way, we're going to turn you into a fellow mousseaholic with this oh-so-easy organic recipe.
This perfect pudding or tasty paleo snack is a glorious treat for guests and dinner parties, in fact you don't even need to tell them it's avocado pudding. But watch their surprise and delight when you do!
We've gone for a textured avocado mousse but you can certainly blend it until smooth - both are delicious. We've found these healthfood organic snack pots to be addictive, so watch out... They're coming for you!
Ready to make the perfect paleo, high-fat, low sugar, raw(ish) dessert? Go, go go...
Let's do this!
This recipe makes 1 big portion or 2 smaller. We say... go BIG or go home.
1 ripe organic avocado
50g (ish) of 85% to 100% dark chocolate
4 to 8 drops of organic CBD oil (optional)
100 ml spring water
200g grass-fed butter or organic coconut oil
1 TBSP Local honey (optional)
1. Gently melt the chocolate and butter/coconut oil in a pan (don't let it boil)
2. Pour the melted chocolate & butter/coconut oil into your blender
3. Remove avocado skin and pip & add avocado to blender
4. Add water & optional honey to blender
5. Blend baby blend until smooth
Spoon mixture into a colourful bowl and let it set in your fridge (if you can resist!!).
Add sprigs of mint for a pretty flourish or top with organic ceylon cinnamon for a festive feel.
Now lick the blender clean! (Watch out for those blades! Yikes you're an animal.)
